A man accused of murder has taunted the dead man's family as
he appeared in court yesterday. Antonio Horton Beatty,21, was charged with
first degree murder in the death of Carlton Walker Whitley,25, who was shot
dead at a car park after an argument in Wilmington North Carolina in July.
But shockingly during his brief appearance in front of the
judge, Beatty repeatedly turned around and smiled at Mr Whitley's family
including his fianceé Octavia Bryant as she held their five-month-old daughter,
Chastity.
And even more cruelly, he stuck his tongue out at them as he
was led from the dock.
