Horrifying details about the girl's short life and death were revealed in court Monday morning, Sept. 21 as her mom, Rachelle Bond, and Bond's boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, were arraigned after their arrest on Friday.

John and Adrie, parents of a little girl who died on Saturday, September 19, after being knocked over by a drunk driver, has donated her organs to three children.

Nadia Bond, 8, from Kraaifontein, Cape Town was walking to a house nearby to visit a friend when she was hit by a car on Friday, September 18. She died the next day in hospital. Her heartbroken father John Bond said she suffered internal bleeding, a broken neck and extensive brain damage.

Bond said the driver transported his daughter to the Kraaifontein Day Hospital without calling an ambulance. He said the family only heard she had been injured when they got a call to say their daughter was at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

Two middle-aged women are being held by the Nakuru police for raping their gym instructor after they sedated him during a training session, News24 reports. According to police reports, the two women drugged the male gym instructor before sexually assaulting him inside the training facility on Tuesday morning in Nakuru, Kenya.

Nakuru police boss, Bernad Kioko said that police were called by a member of the gym who busted the two women in the act.

Disclosing this at a press conference today, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, said the Federal government has decided that the independent anniversary would be celebrated low key, that is the reason only N70m was approved to take care of the entire celebration.

Lagos State Governor - Akinwunmi Ambode has appointed Mr. Olufolarin Ogunsanwo as the new Chairman, Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS). A Domino's in Berkeley, California, made just such a delivery on Friday, and the customer didn't even open the box right away.

The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has arrived the courtroom of the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja to face trial over a 13-count charge of corruption levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Mr. Saraki arrived the tribunal premises at 9:32 a.m., accompanied by about 50 senators and some members of the House of Representatives, his spokesperson, Yusuph Olaniyonu, told PREMIUM TIMES.

ABUJA – The trial of the Senate President, Dr. Olubukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, sitting in Abuja,commenced on a dramatic note this morning, with the accused person, refusing to mount the dock.

The trial tribunal, headed by Justice Danladi Umar, called up Saraki’s case at exactly 10:32am.

Following Saraki’s refusal to stand up as his case was mentioned, the tribunal Chairman, Justice Umar, demanded that he should leave his seat and enter inside the dock.

The Senate President who is currently sandwiched by his colleagues and friends inside the court, called the bluff of the tribunal by retaining his seat.

All nominees for appointment as commissioners in Cross River State are expected to write mandatory integrity and aptitude tests before they can be appointed into office. According to a statement signed by the special assistant on media to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr. Christian Ita and released yesterday September 21st, the nominees would have to undergo integrity and aptitude tests before their names would be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.

Hollywood Actress Alleges That Pope Francis Will Be Assasinated This Week (Photos)

Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon has alleged that Pope Francis will be assassinated this week during his upcoming visit to the U.S. if the security operative do not act fast to avert the murder.

The head of the Catholic Church is set to make his first official trip to the country later this week, starting his tour in Washington, D.C. before heading to New York and Philadelphia.

Police Collect N4,500 to Find Missing Teenagers

The parents of two teenagers in the Solomade, Ikorodu area of Lagos State, have been devastated after the duo suddenly went missing while running errands.

PUNCH Metro learnt that 17-year-old Channing Odugbo and Daniel, 19, had been sent on separate errands on Wednesday, September 9, by their father, Moses.

They were said to have been unreachable ever since and efforts by their parents to locate them had
been unproductive.

Policemen from the Igbogbo Police Division were said to have collected N4,500 from the family as payment for writing materials to report the case, and sending of signals to surrounding divisions to track the missing kids.

Their correspondent learnt that the family had finished morning prayers on the fateful day when Moses, a businessman, asked Daniel to withdraw some money from the nearest Automated Teller Machine.

Moses said:

Detectives tracing a Lexus stolen from London have ended up tracking it to Uganda - where it was found alongside a fleet of British cars worth more than £1 million. The National Crime Agency was able to use a smartphone app to trace the journey of the stolen RX450h (top left) 6,000 miles to the Uganda capital Kampala, where they were stunned to find it alongside 28 other luxury cars which had been stolen from the UK by the car-smuggling gang.
